I have been SWAMPED for the past month with work and there are times when I just want a little comfort food (ok, all the time…) Anyway, I love little treats that are quick and don’t take up time away from my piano or the PC or meetings.
Growing up, Momma Littlepianodiva would always make something yummy for breakfast over weekends and French Toast was her thing!
Here’s a recipe for this scrumptious delight that literally took me five minutes. Serve with a cup of tea and enjoy:
1 cup of milk
Sugar to taste
Butter the bread on both sides. In a bowl, beat egg, milk and sugar until dissolved. Drench the bread in the mixture and fry on medium heat until both sides turn brown. You can add fresh fruit and a dollop of cream if you’re feeling extra fancy 😉 !
